Lent Retreat 2023: The Jerusalem Journey

“For Lent 2023, we’re inviting you to slow down, use your imagination, and zoom

in on Jesus’ final journey to the cross and resurrection split over seven weeks towards Easter Sunday.

Led by Jesuit Phil Harrison SJ, each week you will be guided into an imaginative encounter with Jesus. After a short introduction on Ash Wednesday (22nd February), we will begin with Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on Monday 27th February.

The idea is to get as close to Jesus during this time as possible.

Here’s the timetable for your reference!

Wednesday 22nd February: Introduction

Monday 27 February: The Entrance

Monday 6 March: The Perfume

Monday 13 March: The Bread

Monday 20 March: The Silver

Monday 27 March: The Feet

Monday 3 April: The Death

Saturday 8 April: The Tomb

Sunday 9 April: The Life”

Sacred Space also have an online retreat.

The theme of this retreat is Saint John’s magnificent phrase ‘He showed the depth of his love’ (John 13:1).

This phrase sums up the whole gospel, and we will explore its richness in several ways. The main goal of the retreat is that you will make a home for this statement in your heart and be nourished by it for the rest of your life.

You can access it on Lent Retreat 2023 – He Showed the Depth of His Love | Sacred Space.
