A decision by O2/Telefonica UK means that our long-standing Text to Talk number (07860 077330) is due to be shut down on 31st May 2026. This number is not just a contact point – it is a vital lifeline for over 100 individuals each month who rely on texting as their only safe way to reach support.

Many of these individuals rely on text messaging not only because they cannot safely speak, but because they lack the confidence to access a verbal service. For those experiencing anxiety, trauma, coercion or abuse, written communication provides a vital, accessible and less intimidating route to seek help.

We have asked O2/Telefonica UK to simply release the number so it can be transferred to another provider, ensuring no disruption. Despite multiple attempts, formal complaints, and escalation, the issue remains unresolved.

If this number is lost:

Vulnerable individuals may lose access to a trusted and safe support route.
An increased risk to safeguarding and wellbeing.
Trust built over years may be lost overnight.
We will face significant financial and operational burdens rebuilding awareness and referral pathways.
How you can help:
Download letter template here.
Email/post it to your local MP (find your MP details here).
Forward on this email and encourage others to do the same.
Together, we can ask Parliament to intervene and help protect this essential service.

Thank you for standing with us and those who rely on our support.
